As a first resort, you should contact your retailer to report any faults. Items returned to Hope Technology through your retailer is at the expense of the retailer. Postage for items sent directly is covered by the sender.

This includes R4+, R2, R2i, R8+ and any ES lithium ion battery which has a fuel gauge.

These items are fully covered under warranty. PROOF OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE MUST BE PROVIDED.

If there is a fault with the battery pack:
Please contact Hope Technology by emailing service@hopetech.com to request a UN approved Box.
In your email please include the following.

  • Customer name
  • Address
  • Postcode
  • Phone Number
  • Proof of purchase/receipt

Without the complete information above we will not be able to supply the box required.

Once we have the information above we will be able to send a UN approved box FOC along with all the information you need to package it and label it correctly. ALWAYS SEND THE LAMP UNIT AND CHARGER WITH THE BATTERY PACK TO ALLOW US TO DIAGNOSE THE FULL SYSTEM. DO NOT SEND ANY BATTERY UNIT BACK TO US WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE UN APPROVED BOX AND LABEL. It must be sent via a courier. Royal Mail will not accept defective (or suspected defective) lithium batteries.

If the fault does not involve the battery and is only concerning a lamp unit, charger or accessory:
The unit(s) can be returned to either your retailer or Hope Technology with a completed light specific service/warranty form, preferably in the original box, or if this is not available in strong, rigid packaging with inner packaging material to prevent the contents from moving during transit. Warranty work will be carried out .
